Overview
Janet is a dedicated and versatile actor and educator. She is a skilled writer and often collaborates with clients to develop roles and scripts for workshops and videos. She also works as an adult educator and is a highly skilled facilitator. Clients have included Mercer, the Family Law Institute, University of Melbourne, Royal Children’s, Royal Melbourne and Royal Adelaide Hospitals, Monash University, University Hospital Geelong, Royal College of Surgeons, Royal College of Anaesthetists, The Cancer Council, Adelaide Breastscreen, The Palliative Care Association of the Northern Territory, Resolve Advisors Pty Ltd, Teamwirks, Safer Care Victoria and the Cognitive Institute, Brisbane
Experience
As an actor, Janet works in Theatre, Australian feature and short films, TV drama, commercials, voiceover and role play with over 700 workshops under her belt. She has performed in legal, commercial and HR settings and she is in demand as a skillful simulated patient, working in this challenging area of improvisation with flexibility and intelligence. As a facilitator, Janet has led communication workshops in diverse settings: In the area of governance, in 2018-20 Janet collaborated with a group of researchers at Monash University on developing experiential communication training for the Board Directors of Health Services (Victorian Health Trusts), facilitating eleven workshops. The work was supported by the Department of Health and Human Services and the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority. She co-authored a published article on this project.
